I entered the acting world around 1990 and 1991, and that moment changed my whole life. A girl told me about an audition for a soap called Fortunes, and I decided to go and try, even though acting was not respected in my country at that time.

When I got there, it was not a big hall full of hundreds of people.<br><br><br> It was just me reading for the writer and producer, and they watched me closely as I delivered the part. After I finished, they felt I was good enough, and they did not even need to see anyone else again.

In that simple room, with that one reading, a door opened for me.<br><br><br> People did not think much of actors then, but I knew something new had started, and I walked through that door with faith and a quiet smile.
