Former Deputy Senate President Senator Ike Ekweremadu's wife, Beatrice Ekweremadu, has returned to Nigeria following her release from a UK prison, where she was serving a jail term for her involvement in an organ-harvesting case.

Senator Ekweremadu and Dr. Obinna Obeta were also convicted in the case.<br><br><br> Senator Ekweremadu received a longer sentence and is still serving a 10-year prison sentence in the UK.

The UK's prison overcrowding measures facilitated the early release of Mrs. Ekweremadu. She arrived in Abuja on Tuesday and is reuniting with her family.

Congratulations to her in as much as she has joined the league of ex~convicts, nothing still sweet pass freedom .<br><br><br>
