Sad: Yelewata Town on fire: Lives Lost, Many Injured . At approximately 10:00 PM last night, Yelewata town came under yet another brutal attack by individuals suspected to be armed herdsmen. According to information reaching me since 4:00 AM, several lives have been lost, and over 16 people have sustained varying degrees of injuries.


The exact death toll is still being confirmed. In a heroic attempt to respond to the distress call, operatives of the Nigerian Army and Civil Defence were ambushed in Daudu. Sadly, we have lost two gallant soldiers and one officer from the Civil Defence Corps in the line of duty.
