Governor Fubara gives governance a new face: See details: Apart from Rivers State being the first in Nigeria to pay the new minimum wage of ₦85,000 to LGA staff, as approved by Governor Siminalayi Fubara in February, His Excellency has, in just two years, cleared five years of unpaid promotion arrears inherited from the previous administration.


2). Sir Fubara also approved pending promotions for over 10,000 workers and introduced an annual promotion timeline to restore dignity and motivation in the civil service. 3). He settled eight months of unpaid salaries for teachers and LGA workers.
