How former NYSC DG was kidnapped.. Read here.. Former NYSC DG kidnapped in Katsina Maharazu Tsiga, a retired major general and former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has been abducted in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State. Tsiga was reportedly kidnapped alongside several residents of Tsiga village during an attack that occurred around midnight on Wednesday, February 5.


A resident in the area who confided in Channels Television confirmed the incident in a telephone call on Thursday, February 6, He said, the incident, occurred on Wednesday after the hoodlums armed with sophisticated weapons invaded the residence of the former NYSC Director General.


Although the state government officials and the police are yet to issue a statement, eyewitnesses said the former NYSC DG was among those kidnapped by the assailants. He said that during the attack which lasted for a few minutes, two residents were wounded and one of the hoodlums died after being mistakenly shot by his colleagues.
